I was completely disappointed in my results. Thank goodness I only paid 1000 for my treatments...still a huge waste of money. My advice is to NOT do this, save your money toward liposuction if you really want to get rid of pockets of fat, etc...
Hi Trikkegirl, My doctor and his assistant both warned me that areas that have had lipo in the past are more fiberous, therefore not as easily reduced. I am more interested in the fat that is between the muscle fibers being reduced than the pockets of fat (I had those Vasered 2 years ago). Had my first treatment today...of course no results I can see yet. Although, my jeans are fitting slightly looser in my mid thigh - just pulled the jeans out of the dryer and got them up a little easier today than last week.
What made my decision so much easier is that my doctor charged my 1,000 (his cost) because I'm one of the first 15 patients to get the treatment while he decides if he's going to keep it. If I don't have good results, he's even going to reimburse half of my money. So is kind of a win-win situation for me. I like the idea of charging 'by the inch' though!
One thing I think that is important for everyone to remember is that the FDA approved the safety, not the effectiveness of Zerona.
I'm actually going to start the treatments tomorrow and am very excited. I've gained about 1 inch around my bumm area and a half an inch in my stomach, so any measurement lost will be welcomed!
I know you feel like you haven't lost any inches, but your appearance is smoother looking. I also see a difference in the waist area. But for $2400, I guess you would want to see more. Have you ever had any other type of liposuction in the past?
I have heard that Zerona is not as effective for those who have had other formes of liposuction in the past.
You still look really good though :-)
