Make sure that you have at least 2-3 additional compression garments, you can order these off makemeheal.com. You would want one additional stage 1 compression garment, and then 2-3 stage 2. They get dirty, and it's nice to have one to wear while you're washing the others. I had 3-4 days worth of cut up fruit and veggies in my fridge, each in a single serving size tupperware like storage, it was nice to have a healthy option ready to go. Watch your salt intake for the first month, maybe even up to month two - he really does make you swell more. You'll have swelling for 4-6 months, plan on wearing your garments that long. Keep me posted! Good luck!
Wow! 2 months is a blessing.... I'm not super familiar with the limitations that your current conditions place on you - I myself am pretty healthy and workout fanatically - so my situation I think would be hard to compare to how long it might take you to feel "well enough" to go back to work. I had to go back to work after a week and a half. It was tough, but I sit at a desk, and all my co-workers were pretty sympathetic and helped me out a bunch.
You may still want to get a couple more garments, they can be found on ebay too (less expensive).
The pain to me wasn't that "big" of a deal, I've had two c-sections though and have been there in a sense. Your abdominal muscles will be "out-of-commission" for the longest time. I would suggest that you do strengthening exercises now for your back too. It's never to late to start, and you might be glad you had a little time under your belt for what is required to assist in getting around post-surgery.
Again, Good Luck! And Smile, this only happens once!
