  Melsh73, I have always had extremely oil skin, and its still the same, however, I have dry rough patches of skin on different areas of my face as well. I encourage you to google "IPL and Laser Damage" a support forum group. There are so many individuals like us who share their stories. You are right to say that derms might not even know how to diagnose after effects of Fraxel if problems have never been acknowledged.

  melsh73 I hear your pain. I am in the same boat. Nearly two years after & now developing even more side effects, and yes doc who performed it said there is no way it could have been the fraxel. I don't blame him though, I blame the maker!! PLease, please file a complaint with the FDA. You can do it online. If enough of us file, maybe we can make these doctors take note!!

  I am so scared!! Fraxel made my skin worse!! I had 5 treatments in 2008 and I aged overnight!! Now I am developing round depressions on one of my cheeks!!! TISSUE LOSS!! I too have the crepe look with white lines and severe hyperpigmentation that never went away!! DO NOT DO FRAXEL!! I have filed a complaint with the FDA.

  I am here to say: Don't do Fraxel!! I just went thru all the postings regarding fraxel, took me nearly a whole day. I did 6 full face fraxel sessions for acne scarring a year and a half ago, still suffering from total HP, used HQ after, have done peels, use 30 sunblock every day, & not only do I look worse, its af I aged 5-10 yrs. (other posts have stated similiar exp) I am 36, mexican with naturally tan skin, now I have HP blotchy skin all over face especially around eyes. Wish I would have found this site before i even thought of doing the procedure!!! I dont think its docs fault, its the companies selling the equipment and the FDA so called approval!! I found many postings from an "Awalk" who sadly seems passed away late last year, but she had posted very valuable info regarding her adverse reactions and battle. Please, please, don't do Fraxel!!
