Hi Lucy12,
I just went back to Dr .#1 (who did the surgery), he wants me to come in and have a 1 hour procedure in the office to try and release the areola scar from the muscle. He did tell me that it might NOT work.
Dr .#2 (who I went to for a second opinion) wants to remove the overfilled right 350cc implant (overfilled to 430cc which is 30cc’s past Mentors maximum fill of 400cc’s) and replace it. The problem is that he wants to use cadaver skin (Alloderm) to be a buffer between the areola and breast muscle. That scares me because if you go to the Alloderm web site it states that the company uses all methods possible to make the cadaver skin safe but there is NO guarantee that it will not pass on a disease. I am choosing the Dr. #1 even though he is the one who made the mistake.
Dr. #1 – no charge for the office procedure, no guarantee it will work
Dr. #2 - $7,800 – says it will work and will eliminate the way-too-hard (from overfill) right breast. The problem is the Alloderm and his high price.
What problem are you having?
