Thanks Daze. That is definitely something to consider. I'm sure I won't feel like driving or flying after having Repair done. Are you happy with your results?
Thanks Dr. Persky. I appreciate your advice. You certainly can't put a price on youth.
I think I must have misunderstood something I read about pricing regarding Fraxel Repair because I thought it ran around $2500, so $5800 surprised me. I live in Northern Louisiana, about 10 minutes from the Texas line, so there is a lot of things that we go to Dallas for. Because Dallas is such a big city, you can usually get the latest fashions and the latest in cosmetic procedures there. They get some things 6 months to a year before we will see them in Shreveport Louisiana, but you also have to be very careful because many things are very over priced there. We have a lot of plastic surgeons here and several that I would consider to be very good Doctors. However, something that a Doctor can charge $6000 for in Dallas because so many people are wanting to have it done, may only cost you $3000 here because the demand isn't as high. From everything that I've heard you and Dr. Weiner say, it sounds like the most important thing when having Fraxel Repair done, is the Doctor that you choose. I may just plan a mini vacation in the fall and come visit one of you to have my procedure done.

Which filler do you prefer between Restylane and Perlane? I had Restylane done for the first time 9 months ago and again yesterday. The nurse mentioned Perlane and said that she was using it now. She said it lasts longer and they only charge $50.00 more for Perlane. I absolutely Love Restylane though, and I'm afraid f I try something else I won't like it as well. The possibility of it lasting longer is definitely making me consider it. I would love to hear from users of both and hopefully that will help me decide.
Hi Dr. P and Dr. Weiner,
After reading here, I've decided to stop getting my Fraxel Restore treatments (I've had 2 so far) and have Fraxel Repair done. Dr P, you recomended {edited} in Dallas Tx, since Dallas is close to me. I called last week and his office told me the only way he does this procedure is in the OR. I was surprised about this. Is that common? Also, his price is $5800!! They explained that his was partially due to it being done in the OR. He has another doctor that works with him {edited} and he does Fraxel Repair in the office with numbing cream only! I asked her if the did a block on your face and she said not usually, but if you wanted one, he probably could do a block. I asked about a shot for pain and she said they would give you a pain pill if you wanted one. It sounded a lot like what they do when you have Fraxel Restore done, so I made sure that we were talking about Fraxel Repair and she reassured me we were. She said he charges $3300.
Can you tell me how much you charge for Repair? I certainly don't mind paying more for the best doctor, but $5800 is much higher than anything I've heard of. Also, do you do this in the OR or the office and what medications do you administer before the procedure?
Thank You!

With all the talk about Fraxel Repair, I'm wondering if I should just do Repair instead of continuing with the Fraxel Restore treatments. About how much does one treatment of Repair cost? I've had two treatments of Fraxel Restore done on my face and neck. I see very little improvement in my face, but I do see a good bit of improvement in my neck. I still have 2 more treatments to go. I've called a few Doctor's where I live and asked about Fraxel Repair, but no one has it yet, 2 of them said they would be getting it soon. I live about 3 hours from Dallas, TX. I'm sure there is several Doctors in Dallas carrying Fraxel Repair. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in Dallas?
