Although my upper abdomen, is incredibly smaller than it was before I had the procedure, it still looks as if I have "fat deposits" on either side of my belly button. What this is, the Dr. told me was excess skin since the belly button is a fixed point. It makes absolute sense...
My skin tightened as best as I believe it could, and I am very happy with the results considering that the other alternative was a tummy tuck, which I do not have the time for....
Thank you all that responded :)
It is now 4 weeks and a couple of days. Skin is still sensitive , but the area gets less and less everyday. The area around my belly button is flat, and then maybe 2 inches to the right and left of the belly button it looks like fat is still there... I think it may be swelling, well at least that is what I am hoping. I go back for a check-up this coming Wednesday, and I will see then.
My skin has tightened up pretty well....better than I had hoped for actually. I am 44 years old, lost 50 lbs, and my first son was over 11 lbs, so I was pretty stretched out. It was recommended that I should have had a tummy-tuck, but I did not want to go thru that. I just wanted the muffin to go away, I wear a size 4 pant and was not happy always trying to wear loose tops to cover the overhang...
What I do notice now is cellulite on the area that was lipo'd. I was warned about that as well... I have no problems with that though.
I massage with an Arnica balm, and sometimes us Tamanu oil as well...
I had Vaser Lipo done on my upper abdomen on Dec 11,2009. The procedure itself was a little painful at times, I suppose from when a nerve was hit.
My belly blew up to the look as if I were 7 months pregnant, although no bruising. The soreness was a bit rough, and I am very pain tolerant.. My ribs felt bruised for a few days and it just felt as if I were beaten up from the inside out :)
It has now been 3 weeks, and I am still swollen, and although my stomach muscles no longer hurt the area is still very "sensitive" and sometimes a bit painful to the touch. I went to the Dr. a week after, and he tried to draw fluid, there was none, so he advised it was all swelling.
I wear my compression garment 22-23 hours out of the day, massage my belly with arnica oil, and take Tylenol to ease the pain on occasion.
I am trying to be patient for the results. I had a mini-face lift done 2 years ago, and it took a good 6 weeks to see any of the swelling go down then.
I was just wondering if anyone is having/had any of the soreness and sensitivity after 3 weeks?
