So it's one week out and I'm feeling great. I've already received some reassuring comments. Both my mom and a co-worker were amazed by how quickly I am healing. They told me I don't even need the headband. I'd love to ditch it because I'm tired of the looks and the questions about what many might consider a fashion faux-pas. I will, however, continue to follow doctor's orders and wear it for an additional week but will be happy when that is done.
That aside, I'm pleased with my new ears. They are looking really nice and the pain is minimal though I still have to be very careful with every day tasks. Given the extensive suturing the area is very tender when disturbed even in the slightest.
Dr. Blinski:
I appreciate your endorsement of Dr. DeLuca. As I'm sure you know, beautiful South Florida is inundated with plastic surgery centers. Add to that the aggressive radio marketing campaigns by some of these- whose quality may not be assured- and it becomes increasingly hard for the consumer to make an informed decision based on research into the doctor's background, when she's being seduced by offers of extraordinarily low prices.
Hopefully continued support for the excellent surgeons in our region will lessen some of the attraction to these sites you mentioned in your post.

Hi there-
I'm curious to know if you could share the implant size in cc's? This information would help me as I consider the procedure...
Sorry to hear about that nasty little infection, but glad to know that things worked out :)
