@ Millie, after going on 5 consultations I decided to choose Dr. Francis. #1 because I liked his work,#2 my mother was a the head nurse at a nursing home where Dr. Francis use to do plastic surgery for the elderly, #3 at the consultation his staff understood my concerns and made me feel comfortable. Before I chose Dr. Francis I had scheduled my TT tuck with another doctor that I thought was great, but when I had asked his (coordinator)the woman who schedules and collects payment if I could speak to a patient of his who recently had a tt tuck done, to get their view about post-op, she became very defensive and wanted to know why I need that!! Personally, I don't think questions should be asked if I'm paying a whole lot of money!!!! So, after that my heart wasn't at ease and at that point I decided to look elsewhere. Hope this helped! Feel free to email me if you would like. Good Luck!!!
Hi,congratulations!!!! I had my tt on 3/25/10 and I also had rented a chair lift. I totally agree, it's the best thing to have after any type of abdominal surgery. I had horrible back pain from sitting and sleeping in the recliner all day. I used a comforter to line the recliner and a pillow behind my back to relieve the pressure. For your constipation try 2 cups of Prune juice with a teaspoon of Benefiber in each cup. Trust me this works. I was very gasy after the procedure which caused me to be very uncomfortable. My girlfriend who helped me after the recovery forced me to drink it and I was soooo very happy that I did!! I was also taking Phillip stool softner, because the other ones cause cramping and bloating. I now suggest this to my husband when he has bowel issues, lol!!! I also suggest when getting your drains removed to take your vicadin one hr before your appt. I read that on somebody elses posting and did it, and hardly felt anything when my drains were removed. BTW, don't feel vain!!!! You gave a precious gift to a couple that wasn't able to do it themselves. You deserve whatever you desire!!!!! Enjoy that new body you'll have in months to come!!! Keep us posted :)
Glad your surgery went well. I had my tt surgery on 3/25/10 and my main concern about post-op was moving my bowels. If you haven't done so yet, I would suggest taking two cups on Prune juice with a teaspoon of Benefiber in each cup. My girlfriend did this for me and when I tell you it worked....I was soooo happy I didn't have to strain. She had also bought me Phillips stool softner which I took everyday after, knowing the Vicadin was going to bind me up. The Phillips was better than Colace stool softner, because it didn't cause cramping, or bloating. Cramping is the last thing we need lol!! Hope this helped. Please keep us updated.
Sheshe33, don't let anyone discourage you!!! Only you know how you feel about your body and you have the opportunity to do something about it. This website helped me soooooo much!!! From what kind of questions to ask during consultation to knowing what recovery would be like, negative and positive. I understand your concern in regards to having someone to relate to and I must say I was very concerned as well. As I'm healing and still not able to fit into the clothes I CAN'T wait to wear, I'm so happy I did it. Good Luck with your consultation!!!
