I had liposuction a week ago on my abdomen, outer thighs and hips. In total, they took 8 liters of fat out of my body. Pre-surgery, I was 167 lbs. at 5'7 1/2".
The pain has been absolutely excrutiating. At this point, I don't care what the results are. I wish I had never done this. I feel like I will never be my old self again.
I was told that the pain would last a few days, and that I would be up and about doing housework after that. Here I am on day 9, and my husband STILL has to help me get up out of bed and chairs. The pain was likened to a bad sunburn. It's more like having been beaten with a whip across the abdomen until your skin was raw. I thought I had a relatively high pain threshhold, but I guess not. I am in constant pain, and even OxyContin (which was prescribed) doesn't give much relief.
I would never, ever, ever recommend this to anyone.
Do it the old-fashioned way with diet and exercise. Believe me; liposuction is NOT the easy way out!
