Hi - I had juvederm done for the hollows of my eyes 15 days ago. The problem is that under the left eye, it is still swollen and purplish in color as if some blood vessels might've been damaged. Under the right eye, I have some puffiness and some purplish color but not as bad as under the left eye. I am very concerned and have called the doctor's office. I was told, in the beginning, it'd be about 3 - 4 days of puffiness and such but then called again and was told 10 - 14 days and so I called the other day and they told me it could take longer for it to go away. They can't get me in until next Tuesday and I leave on vacation that day and will be horrified if this puffiness (bags like look under eyes) doesn't go away. I feel like going in today after work and showing them how terrible I look. Question is, if I apply ice, would that help. They told me to rub at it several times a day but it never worked. I can kind of feel some pressure when I push down on the puffiness. I did have black eyes after the injections. He said I took the injections well but obviously took a terrible turn for the worse. Can anyone suggest anything I can do to help bring down the swelling or am I doomed for the next 9 months or so? Has this happened to others? I would think it has. This was very disappointing and for them not to be able to see me until next week which will make three weeks after the injections, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Thanks for any suggestions anyone can offer.
