Glad it seemed to help. When I tried massaging my lumps I think I made my face more swollen. I was so glad the baking soda worked for me though as I couldn't stand looking at myself in the mirror. The lumps under my eyes eventually did go away but it took about five months or so, thank goodness it didn't leave any lasting sagging skin. I would love it if something was developed for the lines above the mouth. I really don't know why anyone would use Juvederm for this area as I can spot Juvey lips a mile away and they look ridiculous.
If you have lumps that show on the outside of your face, most likely the juvederm was not injected deep, so the baking soda may not work, but I'm sure anything is worth a try at this point. There is a product that a Dr. can inject - hyaluronidase which dissolves the lumps. You need to find someone good who can do it because this product will take away your own collagen if injected into the wrong areas, which will make you look older.
So glad it worked for you! Someone else told me it didn't work for them but I really think the difference of whether the baking soda works or not is where the doctor placed the juvederm around the mouth area. If it was injected deeper, closer to the inside of your mouth, the tissue there can absorb the baking soda and get rid of it. If it is not injected as deep, and stays closer to the outside skin, the baking soda may not be able to absorb enough. It definitely got rid of it for me in my mouth area, but it took about six months to get rid of the under eye lumps. The baking soda was not able to absorb into the outside of my skin to get rid of that. I'm with you - I'll never do it again!
Actually I read on another post that warm compresses and Arnica gel helps. I have been doing the warm compresses every night.(I haven't found Arnica gel, but I thought the post said Amica gel so I was searching for something with the wrong name.) The warm compresses have changed the big bags into smaller ones. I have been lightly massaging it too -- seems to have helped somewhat. You might want to try a baking soda a water paste too. I did that for my juvederm duck lips and it took them right away. But I didn't really notice much of a different with the baking soda paste in my eye area. I think it worked for the lips because I put in on the inside of my mouth and that tissue is more absorbent than skin.(Baking soda neutralizes acid.) I posted my results with the lips and another juvederm hater responded to my post and said she has been making the baking soda paste for her eyes and cheeks and and seems to be thrilled that they are actually getting smaller. I think I'm going to try the baking soda paste on my eye area again for a week (I had only put it on for three times originlly. See my post: "Juvederm: Don't do it! Ducks lips and saggy eyes but fixed the lips!") Can't hurt to try it. Let me know if it works for you.
