Smartxide Co2 laser Will Scar You for Life!-Calgary

The grid marks are actually 3rd degree burns caused by smartxide laser on my chest. Nothing can be done to undo the grid scars and since it was such a severe burn, it took months just to heal and was extremely painful as all burns are. This was done by an RN in a dermatologist's office and I checked them out beforehand.

Heather, Please don't do this...it will make any sun damage worse and you will have scarring and red grid marks all over your face for the rest of your life and there will be nothing you can do about it!

Whatever you are trying to fix will not be worth destroying your face over.

Just to add....you might want to consider giving up trying to fix this and just let the the body try to heal as best it can. The scarring cannot be fixed. Burns are permanent and at best, the redness might subside but the white grid marks are there to stay. According to everything I've read and seen, Fraxel can melt away any good fat reserves in your face so who knows what it could do to your chest. Retinol is only good for sloughing off the top layer of skin on your face to refresh...cannot see using it for anything else..just my opinion. I am reviewing my legal options. I feel like I am taking my power back by taking control of the legal process and not letting anyone hurt me anymore with false promises of these procedures...there is no magic bullet for fixing burn scars caused by lasers...ask any plastic surgeon....I did.

Everyone who has been hurt and maimed should consider their legal options. There have been several successful lawsuits brought against Dermatologists and RNs that have disfigured patients with lasers, like Ayana v. Skin Klinic which resulted in $44K judgement. I've read enough reviews to know that this craziness of doctors and their RNs being able to disfigure people without consequence has got to stop. Maybe when enough people sue for negligence, it will and these dangerous lasers will be taken off the market and the doctors making a fortune off them will be put out of business. You read the horror stories of people's faces melting due to their fat deposits under their eyes, etc. being evaporated by Fraxel, etc. and you wonder why other people encourage each other to have it.

how are you doing now, Rosina Ann? My grid scars that were caused by Smartxide are still very prominent and will never go away and I will never be able to wear summer dresses, v necks, bathing suits or anything that reveals it. I am so self aware of it and am always having to rethink my wardrobe and hide....it has ruined my life from that perspective.
