Hello - I have only used Botox for about a year and I am in my early 50's. This last time, I had it done for crows feet and furrows and got a big bruise on the left side of my face. About a week later, I looked at a photo of myself and my left lip was seriously sagging - as if I had a stroke or something. My left cheek also appeared to be sagging more than the other side. I wondered if the Botox had migrated or if the injection was too deep. I went back to my treating doctor, who did an exam and said it was not the Botox, but that I have a case of Bell's Palsy and prescribed medications: Prednisone for five days and acyclovir for 7 days. Admittedly I am having difficulty accepting the diagnosis. I would like to hear how you can tell the difference between the effects of Botox on crooked lips and Bell's Palsy. Appreciate any feedback and counsel. Thank you and let's hope all our lips can get back to normal.
