I had CO2 lasering exactly as you've done. That was 13 years ago and the result is still quite remarkable.
On the fourth night after surgery, I was miserable. My eyes kept watering, or so I thought. When I got up the next morning, nearly all the swelling was gone. What I'd felt was the water "leaking" from underneath the skin.
After that, it was just a matter of getting rid of the redness. On me that took about nine months. But make-up, expecially a green stick, covered the redness really well.
You look great now and will look just that much better in about two weeks.
