Hi Lydia. I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding your concerns about your eyes. Have you had effecient hormone tests ( specifically, but not limited to the thyroid gland; which can be tricky even when the results return fine)performed? What is your sleeping/eating patterns like? Do you sleep less than 7-8 hours a day? Do you crave/consume much carbohydrates/desserts? Feeling depressed/stressed? I ask, because often I have found that people (mostly women)who have had these (along with a few additional) symptoms have a dysfunctional thyroid gland and even additional hormonal conditions which are unwanted. So, I would advise that you search a specialist in hormones who uses the most advanced methods in monitoring/testing. Good luck.

I have read that one of the contributing factors (aside from ageing) of under-eye puffiness is a thyroid condition. I also believe that sometimes it may be difficult to receive a diagnosis of an improperly functioning thyroid. I wonder how many people have had their hormones checked before consulting with a plastic surgeon?

Sharon, I read your testimony and felt that I should respond.I just wanted to say that when you mentioned that you told the doctor over 20 times do not break my nose nor give me a pug nose/any kind of curve that he was at least a little offended and intentionally destroyed your procedure(s)? I hope that was not the case....one never knows though. I was wondering if you had spoken with a few people who had the procedures that you underwent? I also wonder if there are resource centers that offer those considering plastic surgery which have members who have undergone plastic surgery as well as have had their procedure(s) re-done? I DO believe that your horrible experience can be rectified. I guess it is (partially?)a matter of having the nerve/courage? Please type in google to find out if there are existing places/people with whom you may contact. Best wishes
