I also had the LSL several years ago but still remember the pain. They used to call it the lunch time lift until I told them it was definitely FALSE advertising. No one could certainly go back to work after this procedure. Mine was VERY painful and they had to KEEP giving me more anestetics. My face was swollen like a balloon and they had to wrap it completely. It continued to contain water and blood for over 10 days, which I had to keep going back for them to drain it. The bruising was awful! They only took out 1/2 of the sutures after two visits so I had to do the rest myself. My dr. kept saying "I was the luck of the draw", whatever that means, because of all my complications. I asked for my before and after pics and they said they couldn't "find them". HA. That just capped off my bad experience. PS: Mine was done in the Cumberland office. One appontment I had to drain fluid, the dr. left before I got there and the receptionist told me he decided to leave early because of his kid's birthday - so no one else saw me! Another wasted trip! Never again!!!

I saw the LSL on TV commercials and it looked so great. Believe me, the "Lunch Hour Lift" is such a fallacy!. The surgery took almost 2 1/2 hrs and I could feel everything he was doing at the time. I had told the dr. I needed extra anestesia due to prior experience but he apparently did not get it. I went home completely wrapped in gauze, as my face was so swollen. I was in a lot of pan that night and the swelling got worse. The bruising was horrible. Went back and they had to take a lot of fluid off my face. Next day it was worse. Back again but my doctor left and I finally saw an "associate" After a week of being wrapped up in a tight ace bandage, the openings started leaking out all the fluid that was building up and I felt better. Went back to have stitches out three times! They could never manage to get all the stitches out without me pointing them out to them. I lost time from my business as I would never let anyone see me like that. I asked for the "before" and "after" photos to see if I could see a difference and was told they were "lost". I think I got a little better look from it but not compared to the pain and suffering I experienced. I notice they don't advertise it as the "lunch time / got back to work lift" anymore because I told them that was false advertising several times and I may report them.

No I didn't. After the research I did, it seems like the long term damage is not yet known. Also, the fact that 20% see no results at all turned me off. I don't like the idea of a kind of "microwaving" of my face being used, either. I will probably go to a reputable plastic surgeon I know and just have a mini neck lift. I didn't want bruising or stitches or down time but I really believe that is the only way to get the results that you pay for.

I am sooo happy I read all these comments before I had my Thermage treatment done. I went to the initial consultation last week (which was also no charge) and I was so convinced that I was going to have it done the soonest possible appointment. The person that was going to be doing it, who interviewed me, was not the dermatologist but a "technician". I felt unconfortable when I asked her what if I don't see ANY results and she said "some people don't". Not, "We'll refund part of your money or make it right". I called the receptionist later and asked for three people she had done who could give me a reference and her reply was, "I can't do that but you can look on the Thermage web site". Which, obviously, I did. I plan to go to a well-known plastic surgeon and bite the bullet and just have a modified neck lift. It probably is better that having my face microwaved. I don't like the thought of down time or stitches and bruising but at least I will see results from my suffering. I THANK ALL OF YOU AGAIN FOR OPENING UP MY EYES!!
