  • Posted to Active FX + Deep FX = Improvement, but Not Dramatic - Denver, CO on 5 Feb 2010
Hi, I had my total FX done on January 15th. 3 weeks later and there is still some significant red blotchiness all over cheeks, temples and nose. It is very difficult psychologically, so please be ready for it. I had taken 2 weeks off of work, had to take a third week. Now i'm considering quitting my job because i just don't want to leave the house. It has been awful. As far as improvement from the procedure- it's hard to say because i have been so focused on the healing process, and the leftover red blotches. I don't know about a rejuvenation center- please speak to at least 3 cosmetic surgeons. And understand that everyone's skin is different. Be prepared for the worst case scenario because it just might happen, and it is absolutely awful. I am still hoping that once this all clears and all the redness fades, my scarring will be reduced. Good luck- and consider all alternatives before any FX treatment.

Thank you both so much for commenting, have been depressed and frustrated but your input helps me "see the light....". Have been using cortisone, have seen some of the redness and broken blood vessels fading- can't even tell yet if the surgery "worked" because the redness and blood stains were so overwhelming. I'm looking forward to what you're talking about Joe! Can't wait!
