"The woman" is reading this too so perhaps be a little more gentle with your tone.

Well, I will disagree with you here, it definitely is not a waste of time. Your experience will help to inform and educate other people who are either considering the procedure or have had a similar experience and need to know they are not alone. Maybe just post once a month and keep us posted about your scar and what the resolution was with the Ulthera people if you end up suing. I mentioned before that I sued a doctor who's nurse burned me with laser hair removal. It was a horrible two and a half years but ultimately I won and I feel like it is a victory for other people who have experienced similar things but maybe weren't able to find a good attorney. Good luck Choledog (I'm not going to call you wasteoftime). P. S. Are you aware that you still have this as a "worth it" rating? I think you should change that. :)

Chloedog, I hope that this isn't your last post as there are a lot of people here that have been following your story and that support you. There will always be people who want to blame the victim. You are not at fault. You were hurt and should be compensated. Don't let bullies scare you away, the majority of us want to make sure that people have accurate information about the procedures pro AND con. Please keep us posted and ignore the detractors, I can't imagine why anyone would be so belligerent to you except that perhaps they are Ulthera providers and only want positive p.r. out there. Hang in there and know that most people here support you.

P13_ski you are way out of line for criticizing chloedog and her experience. As someone who got 2nd degree burns from laser hair removal (from a very reputable RN who works for several local plastic surgeons) I can attest to the fact that even when used "properly" by "trained professionals" things can go seriously wrong. I was completely traumatized by the experience, and went into a severe depression while I waited for a year to see just how bad my scars would be. I did sue and the doctor did settle with me after 2.5 years of torture by people like yourself who minimized my pain and suffering and tried to make me feel like it was my fault. You appear to be a provider for Ulthera so to you I would just say that you should learn from Choledog's experience and not bully her. I'm sure she would love nothing more than to get on with her life but that's really hard when you are looking at a scar everyday.

I'm so glad to hear that your scar is small. Your pictures are very scary. My scars are much better, 2.5 years later, but for the first year after I looked like I had a skin disease because all the top layer of skin that had pigment and tanner skin was taken off. I really worried I would be disfigured for the rest of my life. Thankfully, I'm probably the only one that notices them now. Really, the biggest relief is that the lawsuit is over because they put me through hell. Accused me of lying. How do you lie about 2nd degree burns? I mean, the pictures don't lie! It was horrible.
