Sasha . . . We've seen many women just like you. Unfortunately, the doctors treat them like your doctors are treating you.
It's unlikely you'll find any tests that will positively prove your implants are at fault. The only way you'll know is to have them removed and give your body a chance to recover.
It's important that, when you have them removed, they remove the entire capsule, preferably "en bloc", or you aren't likely to get better. Best Wishes . . .
Thanks Ilena . . . I've been with you almost all of those fourteen years! Thousands of women have been helped through your group.
We have a new group (please leave the link). It's especially valuable for the information in the archives! http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/BreastImplantSurvivorNetwork/
The group for the families of children affected by silicone is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/SiliconeKids/. . . A quiet, but intense group!

Rachelle,
It's true that women on welfare don't (generally) get implants. . However, many women in the support groups I've participated in have lost their jobs, savings, partners . . . and insurance. They end up penniless, without even money to get explanted.
Is it any wonder that the suicide rate among implanted women is 3-4 times that of other plastic surgery patients?
Rogene
I'm afraid any money the government is making off breast implants is minuscule, compared to the cost of taking care of sick women and their children! . . . By the time many women figure out their implants are making them sick, they are flat broke and out of a job! . . .
It doesn't make sense!
Rogene
I can only say that, if you haven't seen a single woman who has gotten sick from breast implants, either the women know better than to bring the subject up to you, and they see someone else . . . OR you don't recognize a problem when you see one! . . . Problems are way to predictable for your experience to be accurate.
