Hi there it's so nice to hear from you thank you for the wonderful comments- I understand exactly what your going through! First off 8 weeks is WAY too soon to see any kind of result -my doctor and every other doctor says about 1-2 months youll see a result NO I'm psot op a little over 6 months now and my eyes and lids are STILL changing!...In the first couple of weeks of post-surgery I was so critical and unpatient with my result because I expected it right away!..my problem was different than your eyes though because I felt my eyelids were so big and puffy that it looked unatural and ofcourse the asymmetry. The asymmetry drove me crazy!!! I wanted them to be the same but it;s not like that because my doctor told me from the get go no eyes are symmetrical and that my eyes would not be exactly the same. It sill bothers me but I;m coping with and dealing with it. but as the months went on the swelling decreased and my lids were less swollen and started to appear natural-the swelling is still going down to this day. I see your upset that your lids are NOT showing? How were your lids prior to surgery were they like mine where they didn't show at all?Its hard to say since you dont have a picture but to post a picture it is very simple you have to make a post about your experience and there you can post as many pictures as you want. Are you saying you cant see your lids at all because usually they would appear quite big after surgery-but its still very soon to tell so I don't want you to worry. We are our toughest critic and the change is so drastic so getting used to it is very hard. But I would love to see a picture so I can anwser your question. But I saw a change right away because before surgery I had no lid at all so right after they were BIG but not in a good way-but the swelling decreased and it got much better. and I know yours will too but try to post a picture so I can see! I'll be glad to help you in any way-don't look in the mirror constantly I did that and it drove me crazy be patient!
It's nice that you like your results but not all board certified surgeons are a guaranteed good result ...you don't have to get defensive be lucky that your results are what you wanted but not everyone can afford that
Wow thank you everyone for the supportive comments! Maybe I have been going crazy for a little while-constantly looking at my eyes. I think because it's such a MASSIVE change to my appearence I'm just not used to it. There is a slight asymmetry but I'm probably the only one who is noticing it...I just have to adjust and get used to it. I definetly agree that they look better than before. Once again I thank you guys your comments have really helped me realize that I need to relax...and made me feel much better. I'll probably post another picture since my eyes I feel are still changing each day. The pro to my surgery was that I was in NO pain at all just a little uncomfortable...I know a lot of people who went through painful eyelid surgeries. Just a lot of swelling -and havig patience is a MUST because I expected my final result after 2 weeks (thats what they tell you) but it's not true. My eyes look completley different from the beginning of the recovering process. My eyes have contiually been changing month after month-Thanks everyone!
I had an upper bleh about 3 1/2 months ago and I felt the same way you guys did! Recently after the surgery I was disappointed with my eyes. They were swollen and puffy and everyday I woke up I saw no improvement. But TRUST me it gets so much better! It's been almost 4 months and my eyelids are STILL changing. The swelling goes down day by day. I still feel my right eyelid is a little higher but i think even that will change with time (I hope) but I think you guys and myself included are just being very percise because it's such a drastic change that were not used to. But trust me they will get better. I see this post was written awhile ago so maybe you guys can tell me if anything has changed...hope everything is better!
