I am 9 weeks post-op and I understand completely about what your saying. I am still lumpy and uneven. My love handle areas are not painful but they are still sore. When I had my 4 week post-op visit my doctor told me that I look great and to massage the lumps everyday and they will go away. I have been doing that and they are still there. I have another post-op visit in 2 weeks so hopefully I will get some more answers. I'm also wondering how long it will be until I look normal again. Can anyone tell me?
I am now 4 weeks post-op. I had my upper and lower abs and love handles done. I had the same burning pain for the first day but I haven't had it since then. I am still unable to wear jeans because it is so uncomfortable. I still have discomfort in those areas but I had pain for a lot longer than I thought I would. This past Monday night was the first time I've been able to sleep on my sides. I still have the hard lumps, which my doctor told me just last week that it's normal and for me to massage the areas at least 20 minutes everyday with baby oil. I'm not very happy with the way everything looks yet. It's starting to look a little better so I'm still hopeful.
My belly button is a lot smaller and it seems to keep getting that way. Under my belly button looks very similar to what you are describing, except I have those hard lumps there also. I have another post-op appt with my doctor this week so I'm going to try and get all my questions answered. Everyone keeps telling me to be realistic because it's only been a little over 2 weeks, but I can't help it.
Yes my situation is similar. I started out loving the way everything looked. Flat and smooth. I did have some bruising but nothing like I thought it would be. But now it doesn't look anything like it did in the beginning. I'm still wearing my compression garment, they told me to wear it everyday for 2 weeks. So today is my last day to wear it. I have another post-op appt with the doctor on Wednesday so I'm hoping to get some answers. I have been doing light massages but I'm not sure if it's helping. I understand about swelling from surgery but this seems to be something other than swelling. I just hope that eventually I will be happy with the results. It's good to know that other people are going through the same thing, that really helps. Hope everything works out for you as well. Thanks so much!
