Somers... the best advice I can give is to relax. If you have concerns about pain, don't stress. I was told the only thing that would hurt would be the needles to numb you, and even those didn't even phase me. The experience is uncomfortable but not traumatic. If you are properly medicated after your procedure, you will not experience much pain.

As my pictures clearly demonstrate, don't freak out over your swelling and discoloration. It goes away rapidly over the course of several weeks, and disappears entirely within a month or so.

The best advice I can give is to relax, follow doctors orders, and if he advises to wear any compression clothing/garments, do so. Please feel free to share your story here as well.

Natalie, the link is here: http://www.radiancewestchester.com/sculptured-body/laser-lipo-fat-removal-slim-lipo.html Dr. Goodman does do Smart Lipo (Slim Lipo, which is the same thing but promotes more skin tightening). However, he often does a tumescent liposuction first before doing Smart Lipo, all in one procedure. At least that's how he did mine.

Sorry for the double post; I'm apparently no good at this. Just an update, they changed the URL for the link to combine with my previous one, where after 5 days I posted a question about swelling and bruising to the groin area following the procedure (how EMBARRASSING) Yes any men considering this procedure should not freak out that it is very normal for this to happen. I was pretty worried for a few days hahah. Here's the new link: http://www.realself.com/review/mount-kisco-ny-swelling-after-tumescent
