How was the actual surgery? I am doing mine in office with no painkillers - just anti-inflammatories. Were you aware during the procedure? Do your comments also apply to the procedure re: pain free?
In the future, use SINNECH (medical grade arnica). It helps with (little to now) bruising and pain and helps heal faster. I had a face lift and 20 hrs after surgery at my first check up my doctor told me I looked like I was 1.5 weeks into recovery. I use it all the time for injury and surgery for my pets/friends and ALWAYS have the same remarkable results. I also use the pre/post of vitamins from MakeMeHeal.com -excellent. SInnech can be purchased there or Amazon. Makes a HUGE difference in recovery. Appreciate your input as I am now about to have fat transfer and corrective rhynoplasty and am a bit nervous due to the "in office" procedure. Sorry to hear stupid people messed with your posts. Very helpful, I am grateful.
Did you have it done in office? Were you coherent for it at all? How was pain level during procedure? Where was fat harvested from and how was pain/discomfort then? And afterwards during recovery from the fat harvesting site(s)?
Also FYI for everyone - if you use ARNICA before/after surgery, you will have little to no bruising as well as less swelling and faster healing. I had a face lift last year and doc told me I looked like I was a week and a half into recovery when I came in 20 hours after the surgery for my first check up. You can get the medical brand, Sinnech, at MakeMeHeal.com along with surgical vitamins I also recommend to aid in healing faster. 100% recommendation - they work miracles!
Could you talk about the pain/discomfort during the procedure? Were you awake during procedure? How was the pain for the first few days? Meds afterwards for the first few days? When did you feel comfortable being seen in public again?
I found that there was a two week period where you looked like you described. You panicked too soon. It has to have time to settle in.
On the other hand, I feel it made me look more chipmunk like in the long term. I wish my doctor had talked to me about doing a face lift instead of the injections. I wasted $1200 on the injections and now have to get the face lift anyway and may have to wait til it wears off so I can get a better lift.
Sigh. Sometimes going for it and doing it right the first time is more cost effective and results oriented.
