My melasma has improved. I thought this was due to vigilant sun screen application but I did also start taking MSM at the beginning of this year. The MSM is in yogabody tablets which I have been taking for muscle recovery.

8 weeks should be fine unless you develop complications. Bear in mind that the first month is hard and you probably won't be able to stand upright. By week 6 you should feel relatively normal and able to gym etc. Remember to protect your scars from the sun for the first year.

Your scars look very good. Did you get a scar revision? What did the doctor say about lowering the scar?

I have had 3 treatments with Revlite. After the second treatment the skin was very dark and tragic looking. The dark skin flaked off after the third treatment. They promoted it as a risk free option but were surprised at how sensitive my skin is. I still have two more treatments to go and I won't know how effective it is for awhile after as it appears to be a gradual process. At this stage I wouldn't say the cost v risks v results were worth it for me.

Did you try the Revlite? I have had it once and is $1250 for 5 treatments. The first treatment has made the pigment darker.
