Hi Morgan, I am in total disbelief that you've had to go through all that. I am so sorry for your pain. Here we are thinking we just want to gain back a little youth and self-esteem again and just feel a little pretty again, instead we're left with pain and other issues. I can't complain to you about my problems with this lifestyle lift, as I see my problems can't compare to yours.
My issues differ form yours but as I sit here crying, trying to figure out what to do, who to contact, I came across your writngs. I too, have thought of suing them. They left a scar on my cheek because they had to do draing. So much fluid accumilated in my right cheek, that only the next day, my husband had to rush me back to the Lifestyle Lift office to drain the fluid. He intered that needle so many times into the side of my ckeek, that it eventually left a mark. That doctor was 'promoted" and sent off to Californai, so there was another docto who would do my follow ups. He has continued to brush me off by saying, you look GREAT but you're just a slow healer. Not to mention Dr. Kerlock (dr. who did surgery) did my procedure a 2nd time (that's when fluid build) because he failed to mention that he could do lipo and stich up my chin to make things tighter, but that was an extra cost.
On top of all that, I'm loosing my hair. I've gone to all sorts of Dr's. Skin specialist, researched hairloss, endocronologist, and had blood tests to see what's up. I'm FINE. But I would keep calling them asking them if this plastic surgery affects hair loss and they would give me the run around, or side step the question, till finally the "stand in Dr. finally admitted, well it can slow sown hair growth, but only around the insicions, quess what, for over a year ago I've been thinning like crazy all over. For a while dr.s couldn't tell I was thinning because I HAD ALWAYS HAD A MASSSSIVE HEAD OF HAIR, the kind hairdress would run from. But now , not only is it thinning, it's not growing, can't barely put it in a ponytalail. WHAT?...I have to be bold to see there is a problem. I need answeres now before it's too late.
I truly am sorry for your pain. I should have know this was toooo good to be true.
My original surgery was 2 years ago. Four months later didn't seem to hold up, so 'the doctor'talked me into doing it a second time and this time doing another procedure as well(lipo of the couble chin and stiching). Why didn't they just tell me about that the first time around so I wouldn't have to go under the nife a 2nd time. What Dr. did you see for your real facelift?
Maybe someone, now can give an honest answere. Does the lifestyle lift affect hair growth, that is, from the head. I've been loosing my hair gradually since the procedure.I've gone thru different stages. It became very dry and brittle, then broke off at an inch from ends. And worse was last December when it broke off at the crown area at 3in. from scalp. I am now thinning all over and NOT gaining length from the top of head and am receeding at hairline. My hair was long , alittle pass shoulders. I HAD a massive headd of hair which most people admired and hairdressers feared.
It took them a year to finally somewhat admitt that "the proceedure could slow down hair growth but only around the surgical areas. However it's more than that. I've gone to doctors left and right done blood test, for almost a year now and no one can give me a straight ansere.
The only thing different in my life and body has been the LIFESTYLE LIFT so it seems pretty obvious it's been the soul factor the my hairloss. And before I am bold at the age of 44, I'd like for someone to be honest with me so I can do something about my hairloss.
SO I LOOSE A DOUBLE CHIN AND Gain a BOLD HEAD?!
