Basically it didn't work very well - one side still fatty - so now have to go back and have it done on a smaller area. I think I was a bit unlucky but do get it reviewed after a few weeks.
HI there
Hate to tell you but I have developed a complication. Went back last week to the clinic - 6 weeks after procedure - and apparently I have developed (can't remember exact terminology) but where the fat was taken, the compression garment caused fibroid tissue to grow in the space. If you look at my tummy area, to the right of my navel is a large raised swollen area (around the size of a man's hand) - a solid mass that can be seen through clothes. The doctor says it is very rare (less than 3%) - but as a result I look far worse now than before. The doctor injected some fat dissolving liquid and told me to wait 3 weeks and gave me a diuretic tablet to take for 3 days. It's a mess and I am really fed up. The next step is for the surgeon to go back in and try and remove this very large mass - incredibly unsightly -looks like an alien trying to escape from my tummy! Very un-funny for me I can tell you.
I don't think you can exercise for at least 3 weeks. After about 10 days I noticed some difference, but I am 4.5 weeks post -op and don't see a huge change at all. It is definitely better but not a huge difference.
Try and be patient and good luck!
HI Heln
I am going to wait until the 6 weeks is up - lump still there.
Really fed up with corset as I can't wear jeans or trousers and am running out of clothes!!
