After my divorce (25 yrs) my daughter thought it would give my self esteem a boost to receive a botox treatment for my forehead. After receiving the injection the nurse tried selling me on Radiesse but the cost was prohibitive. Then they offered a free treatment as part of their training aprogram, which I accepted. I was scheduled for the following day, which didn't allow much time for research. Prior to this, I had no experience with any cosmetic procedures. The swelling and bruising was much greater than I expected but did go away after a couple weeks. I did not see any significant improvement but did notice a lasting distortion in some areas like the jowel and eyelids. What distressed me the most was a bizarre excretion from my face of a thin strandlike material. At first I just accepted this as part of the recovery and it seemed to subside. It's been six months and I'm noticing this excretion is happening again. It doesn't hurt but is seriously driving me crazy! It starts with a very light, tickling sensation that feels like an ant crawling on my skin. It's only visible if I use a magnification mirror. Has anyone else had anything similar happen. My opinion overall, I would NEVER NEVER do this again, not for free; not even if they paid me.
