I like your story too - glad to hear the shaving process is not too painful as I am due for that in two weeks. The shaving is definitely the part I am most nervous about, but it is helpful to read about others who have gone through it. My teeth look very similar to yours actually, with the two teeth on either side of the front incisors poking out. I'll post pics soon.
Yes, they did apply the anasthetic and left it on for at least half an hour. It wasn't the procedure itself that was so painful, it was the swelling and redness afterwards. I didn't want to use any other creams but the one they gave me, but the arnica and Rescue Remedy sound like good ideas if I decide to have another Fraxel.
