Last year I had a Photofacial. A series of five in all. After my
second treatment I got Hyperpigmentation. Doc said they would get
better by having the remaining treatments. During the treatments I
noticed that I was getting striations on my checks. I thought I was
getting wrinkles so I began skin tightening treatments. Three in all.
The doc arched the wand and left me a scar on check laugh line. When
I completed the treatments and used the skin lightening cream and that
didn't get better I had a Laser peel. That was the worst thing.
Since then I got acne, poor skin texture, uneven skin, wrinkles under
eyes and checks and lifeless droopy skin. Hyperpigmentation resurfaced
darker than what it was before laser. Is there not anything that can
be done for your situation?
I suffered the same unexplained fat loss after five sessions of IPL and one laser peel. My checks sagged downward and my checks have sick wrinkles when I smile. I aged ten years also. Got the same explaination from so called doctor as you did. Said that it is not possible to have fat loss and that it was because I lost weight and that I was getting older.
I am suppose to have a Laser resurfacing on Friday, August 21st. Can you tell me if you noticed an improvement. I'm interested in knowing if your how your skin is overall. I keep reading that laser causes you to lose fat on your face. I am inclined to think so. I look so much older and sucken in aside from the blotchy, uneven texture and breakouts.
I too live in West Covina, and am going through the same thing. I had one laser peel to address the hyper pigmentation caused by the photo facial. And although, I can't see a difference the Dr. insists that with each peel the spots will get lighter... I have yet to find any answers anywhere confirming or denying if the damage is permanent damage or if temporary and can be taken care of by peels, or creams.
