I had my first Exilis treatment done today. It was actually pleasant (a massaging, warming sensation). I could have easily fallen asleep. Too early to tell yet about results, but I do feel some tightening and no pain. The doctor I went to is running a special - full face and next, 4 treatments, $600 total. Normally at this doctor the full face and neck are considered one area and the cost per treatment is $300. Pretty reasonable for touch-ups too. Goodbye Ultherapy.
Same issue for me with swelling around the jaw area. It's subsiding, but SLOWLY. DO NOT do this procedure right before an important event, like a reunion, wedding or vacation. My doctor suggested having it done right before a vacation because there is some immediate tightening. I am so glad I was too busy to squeeze it in. I do feel the immediate tightening but there's swelling too and the swelling is winning at the moment. It's not super terribly inflated, but I'm self conscious about it and can't wait until it's gone.
It's really misleading that people post a thumbs up right after the procedure when it can't work that quickly - if it is going to work at all. I predict that the same thing that happened with Thermage and even Fraxel will happen with this one. Everyone wants it to work so they give it a thumbs up but then months down the line when nothing happens or your face falls the thumbs up wasn't so accurate after all.
