Hi, I just had a septorhinoplasty 3 weeks ago and I am experiencing the same sort of swelling on my tip, in that I can feel a slight difference when I rub my finger down my nose. I'm not too alarmed because the tip feels kind off cushy like there is fluid in it or something, if it was hard I might be a little more alarmed. I think this is fairly normal as the tip is usually the most swollen part of the nose and tends to take the longest to go down.

My ENT performed the surgery. I was initially hesitant at the thought of an ENT performing a cosmetic procedure, however he had over 20 years experience in facial plastic surgery (especially noses)and was recommended to me by my usual ENT. I also asked around as much as I could to find out about his reputation by chance I came across someone who had him perform a revision on her nose after an initial botched surgery, she sang his praises, which gave me a bit of extra confidence. My procedure was largely covered by health insurance and medicare (as it was a septorhinoplasty) therefore I only had to pay a very small gap, hence the low price. To satisfy my curiosity I went and had a consult with a plastic surgeon, and although I had a really good feeling about the plastic surgeon, he was going to charge me astonomically as I would additionally have to pay for an ENT to perform the septoplasty and none of it would have been covered by health insurance as it would have been deemed a "strictly cosmetic procedure". I know that price really shouldn't be a deciding factor when it comes to choosing a surgeon, but I was uncertain of who to go with and as much as I hate to admit it the price definately swayed me in the end.
