Thank you Lori for your response. I am glad you agree that we were over treated which is what caused the damage. I just wish all doctors and nurses would admit this to us, so that we may find some closure, instead of being told there is nothing wrong with us, IPL couldn't have done This, and they leave us to suffer with out any help. Again, thank you. CArla

Hi Lori Thanks for your response. We understand IPL's work great in the right hands, I had one 4 yrs ago and was wonderful. What we need to know is what can be done to those of us who have been burned or overtreated? Can some other treatment safely correct the hyperpig, broken blood vessels, tissue breakdown and repair the collagen and elastin that has been damaged? Would apprecitate any advice. Thank you.

I am sorry Cherry for misquoting in regards to Angela's death. I only wrote what I had read, and never knew about the aneurysms. I apologize for any misconceptions I may have caused.

Drom , it is ok to disagree, I respect your opinion and you should respect mine. We are not trying to sway anynone's opinion as to what we have experienced, either good results or bad, we are just stating facts as what has happened to all of us with bad experiences and would like the pubic to be able to make an "informed" decision, as these serious risks are not advertised, nor have they been mentioned at any of our consultations. I would not have had this done if it had been marketed or advertised that there was even a slight risk that I could end up with permanent vision problems, swallowing problems, dry eye, painful dry mouth, nerve damage, muscle loss, etc. As far as proof of my research, this site won't let you post links, so if you would like validation, you can pm me your email add and I will gladly give you the links. Like I said, and this is MY opinion, the conspiracy is to protect this multi Billion dollar industry at any cost, and that includes not letting the public know of these serious risks that have been happening to anyone, because really, would you still do this if you knew in advance you could be permanently disfigured? Of course not, I would hope, and myself and hundreds of other women around the world were not given that option, because we were all told these were completely safe procedures, minimum risks, nothing dangerous,no permanent damage. And of course the entire industry knows, and for those who don't, wouldn't a "concerned" doctor offer to help their patient when they came back with damage after the treatment, and if they were totally unaware, they would research and help in any way they could? Why is that not one out of hundreds, maybe thousands, have been helped after the damage? Why is not one doctor on this forum, who is now aware of serious complications by reading the 100's threads is offering any help for repair or improvement to those so are desperately seeking it? Except for Dr. Lam who will do a fat graft After IPL damage. Why, because if they acknowledge this is happening, it would have a backlash across the Nation, and they might lose prospective clients. Think about Drom, why are all the doctors on this site not getting involved and answering questions about how to repair the damage? Because there is nothing they can do for permanent damage, and they don't want the public to know that. If they would help, they would have plenty of eager, prospective clients just from this site alone. Oh well, the day will come.....Until then, there is no reason to argue or dispute experiences, it is what it is, we are all entitled to our opinions. Thank you.

Please read all the negative posts on Fraxel damage, there are several of them, including awalk's forum mentioned above. Then decide for yourself.
