I just had my 3rd treatment yesterday. The healing after treatment 2 was significantly easier. I used neosporin to get rid of the mini blisters. This time, last night after icing I put some on and woke up with about 7 around my mouth area vs 50 from the last time. I am VERY swollen again and the brown dots have appeared this am. There should be less flaking and it should happen sooner. The procedure hurts - well, me anyway. I did not have him touch my eyelids this time. I just could not bear it. I will take a percocet next time for sure. I have noticed my freckles have lightened or disappeared. So far, that's it. I don't see any significants improvements yet although I do stare at my skin more than normal these days so maybe I don't see anything dramatic. I haven't gotten any comments from friends either. He has been very clear (I go to a pretty famous NYC derma/laser doc), it takes at least 3 months for the collagen to start to build so you won't see anything for a few months. I have invested about $3200 so far and will see it through to the end.

I just had my second treatment yesterday. I was not nearly as swollen. It hurt much more this go around (he let me know he was turning it up). He also did my eyelids which he did not do before and this happens to be my most sensitive area. Ouch! Today, I have many more white postules around my mouth area and chin. My face also looks rougher whereas last time it looked smoother (I suspect from the swelling). I am red but not red enough to stay in. I would stay in b/c of how my face looks. I am on an anti-biotic now to prevent the break-outs. Going back in one month for round 3. I am not giving up!!

Yvonne - how bad does the peeling get and how long does it last?

You are better than me. I had to get rid of the whiteheads/blisters. I just can't walk around the city like that. I just started to peel this morning and my face still hurts in some areas. My face looks like I have a very bad sunburn. The brown dots are becoming more noticable too. It's day 3 so I guess we are on the same track. I just had my first last Friday at the LAser skin surgery center on E. 34th St in NYC. You think the second time is easier than the first, really? How long did you wait before you went in for the 2nd round? He told me 1 month.

When does the peeling start? Also, did you get little whiteheads around your your lip/chin? I have and am not sure what to do about it. They seem to be a little more like blisters. Just beginning to get itchy.
