The generic name for latisse is bimatroprost. One company calls it's generic Careprost. I order my supply from outside the USA. I have not had any trouble with this and have received the exact product I ordered. Outside the US, the generic form costs LESS than $40 per 3 ml bottle, I order 3 at a time & it lasts me more than 7 months. My rx is usually filled in India, but the last time it was filled on an island I cannot recall. One of my orders was filled with the brand name Lumigan, made by Allergan. An overseas order will take about 3 weeks to receive, give/take. I realize this sounds dicey, but I cannot afford $100 per bottle and I have trich. This med WORKS for me. You do not need an RX if ordering in some countiies outside the US. I have always had to pick up the pkg. from my post office and give a signature of receipt.

I tried bimatroprost on my eyebrows and found it did not work for me. I do not pull my brows, but they are thin from age. I use rogaine on my brows which does work.
I think lashes fall out easily because the product which speeds up the growth process is still being used after lashes reach their maturity. The lashes reach the end of their life span faster. It makes sense to me to ease off using Latisse just before lashes reach their fullest to slow down the end of their life cycle.
I went to a general MD who offers a lot of cosmetic items. He was listed in the where to get Latisse section and he was local for me. Guess it earns him more money. He was not thorough in his assessment of my situation, asked no questions, I was in and out in 2 minutes....literally.

My eyes often get irritated looking and red. They also get dry. Fortunately, it works, so I try to use less and may use it every other day to cope withthe irritation.
I am in maybe week 3 of using Latisse, have trich and lashes are growing on all parts of my eyelid. I am very pleased. The initial swelling is mostly gone and by using moisturizer at the corners of my eyes, they don't get dry or irritated. Guess the drug irritates skin.
