One year two weeks later...everything is the same as when it started! The lump is still the size of a pea, only more noticable now since the rest of the "dispersed" sculptra begins to dissipate. This lump is still painless, still the same size, and still just as disturbing psychologically as it was on the day it was noticed. Just thought i'd give an update/no progress report. Kinda sad that the beenfits of facial volume were shorter lived than the adverse event...apparently for some they go away and for others they don't. If there is anyone out there who had anything that was sculptra lump related to dissipate please share that information. Hope is whats left because i have no trust in doctors anymore, for various reasons.

Just a quick update. It's been 9 months and no change in size or appearance. I'm sure most people know this but some say it will disolve over time...still ever reminded of my mistake everytime i smile you can see my little lump which has caused my skin to look white over it, making it more noticable than before. I think the worst part is...the rest of the sculptra has pretty much disolved leaving just the lump...maybe thats why it looks biger to me. I dunno. Count yourself blessed if you made it through without these lumps.

I have been weary of surgery options, and even denied by some surgeons. Mine are just little pea sized lumps 3 of them. One of them is particularly visible. I was told that the surgery could leave a permanent indentation. Where was your sculptra injected? Mine is in the cheeks. I ask these things because I wonder why noone here wants to mess with it. I also wonder if you knew about the "indentation" thing they speak of? I'm sorry that we all have to go through this, and bond on trauma. I agree that lawsuits are in order. I also am really shocked that so many people are not informed of risks prior. They say things like "small percentage" or "rarely". Then thats only for allergic reaction. Thats the only warnings I got. I also don't wanna spend out my 30s with this crap, and noone should have to. Please let me know any info. you have on surgery, oh yeah and if you don't mind...the name of the surgeon in atlanta. It's only 4 hours from where I am. Trey

one of them is in fact visible. When I smile or drink out of a glass or straw. It's a little pea sized lump that pops out. Also If I lose a little weight like maybe 4-5 lbs. It becomes apparent that there is a lump there, the skin over it becomes lighter than the rest of my face. It has been a few months and it's the same size as it was in the beggining. I hope it will dissolve. I found that skinbiology.com has some very effective products that contain concentrated copper peptides and they seem to be as effective as the injections. I wish I had found them first. The products topically stimulate collagen production and make the skin look so healthy. Takes a few weeks to see the difference but they are great. They also have alot of studies available on thier sight about the uses of peptides in surgery and other really fascinating info. I'm just sharing this because I feel like there is hope for us when we recover. Much like fillers I'm sure some will say they are unhappy with using topicals, but I hope folks will give it a chance. Then maybe they can avoid this horror.
