It has been 3 months since my procedure. I still have numbness and itching on both sides extending down almost to my chin. Further, the incisions on one side have not completely closed and are still "oozing" a little. I saw Dr. M. at LSL in Fort Lauderdale a month ago and he said "everything looks great". I am not so sure. Is this normal?
To Jan K - I had the surgery (Lift, platysmaplasty and Lipo) in Fort Lauderdale on April 30 by Dr. Zeichner but he is no longer there.
I am 68 years young - and the results are dramatic. I am very pleased. However, the procedure was more than I expected and I didn't like being wide awake because you can hear (and smell) everything. It does hurt - and I looked awful for about 10 days - but then the swelling and discoloration were mostly gone. I still have numbness in front of both ears but I consider that a minor inconvenience.
On the whole - I am pleased. Just don't think it will be easy. It is not easy but, in my case, definitely worth it.
Yes - I agree with Miamiwife 100%. Dr. Zeichner is wonderful and did a great job on me. I am sorry he is gone. The staff is not professional at all - none wear name tags with names or title - you don't know who is speaking to you or what their qualifications are. I think the emphasis on quantity may impact quality.
