Hi wantnatural! I know how you feel, it was so hard for me to stop breast feeding too! My husband and I want to have another baby soon but I want to get my explant done first so I had to stop. I can't imagine going through pregnancy again with these huge bags!! I was told by the doctors I consulted with that 6 months is the preferrable time to wait after breast feeding before any breast surgery but I was told I had to at least wait 2 months. By the time I have my surgery next week it will be a little over 2 months of complete cessation. They said there is risk of infection when you are still lactating. I think as long as your milk is COMPLETELY dried up you will be ok. Wear supportive sports bras.. Use cold compresses to help dry up faster. Also I have a friend who suggested putting cabbage leaves in your bra. I know it sounds crazy but there is some chemical reaction that helps the milk dry up naturally. Let your PS know too so you guys can make a safe decision about whether 3 weeks is ok or not. Best of luck to you and keep in touch :)
Ha! I never thought the day would come where I spent a little time each day looking at other women's breasts!! But this site has been so helpful and has made me so much more confident in my decision to explant :)
