He agreed with Dr. #2 for an Extended TT, going probably 2-3 inches past my hip bones, with Lipo to the hips. He recommended I lose 15-20 lbs and when I told him my time table for surgery, etc. he was happy that I had realistic and doable expectations. I am losing on average 5 lbs a month so it should put it just right.
He & Dr #2 thought the body lift was too excessive. I liked that he would do Lipo whereas neither of the other 2 would even consider it. Dr Vijay & his staff were much more thorough. He told me that he could base plans on now but with additional weight loss & strength training, he will reevaluate how extensive the surgery will/should be at the 10 day Pre-Op. He thought Dr #2 statements of "I will have to do revision 8 months afterwards" & "20-40% of my patients have scar separation" was ludicrous and should not be happening. Dr. Vijay said that he can't say things won't happen but he sure doesn't plan for it in advance.
There is a free website called freeforums .net and google searched it so I can see one of their forums and I liked it. Do you think people would use it or find it useful, etc?
Dr #2 didn't recommend the body lift and was completely opposite of Dr #1 on many issues. I have Dr #3 Friday at 3:00 (a RN friend of mine that works at a surgicare unit recommended) so I can receive an overall concensus. My boss is going to kill me to be out so much this week but I am not taking this decision lightly and he can get over it as I won't have more appointments until general physical & Post-Op in 3 months.
