Yeah, I have also tried silicon gel sheets. I think those have had a little effect in terms of the softening of the scarring but not major. I have tried almost every major off the counter brand, and the only one that had any slight result was Mederma.

Yeah, I agree. Treatment for scars has not gotten to the point where it is a surefire way for every case.

I believe there is on going research in the field of scarless healing. I went to a Stanford head and neck surgeon in Palo Alto and he said hopefully that in 3 years or so, a treatment/technology will exist to ameliorate people who have scars on their bodies. One of the doctors currently doing the research in Stanford is Dr. Geoffrey Gurtner. One private company doing research is Renovo. I am hoping that this 'cure' for scars will be available soon.
