Congrats on your explant. I am 8 week post op and am surprised at the changes over the weeks. At first I was surprised at how big I was....guess I was expecting to be smaller. I also had a lift and scar tissue removed. I must have had a lot of swelling cuz things have settled down and I am smaller than right after surgery. I feel so much lighter and better. Your story is my story...wanted a lift 30 years ago and needed up with DD after implants. I finally have what I wanted all those years ago. You can review my journey with pics. Take it easy, rest and let your body heal...enjoy your natural self :-)

I too starting wearing a regular bra at about 4 weeks and have felt very comfortable. Just make sure it is supportive. I just started sleeping without a bra a few nights a week and I am almost 8 weeks post op. I wear a sports bra at night sometimes when I feel like I need it. Listen to your body and your instincts for what is right for you. You are looking great! I am so happy to be free of implants.
  • Posted to My silicone gel implants are 35 years old. MRI shows intracapsular rupture but doesn't rule out extracapsular. ANYONE? on 3 Jun 2013
I am 7 weeks post op from al,ost 30 year old silicone implants. I had a breat MRI in January that showed implants in tact. I have suffered with many health issues including seve Fibromyalgia so I decided to have them removed after research showing a possible connection. I went to Cleveland to have Dr. Feng, one of the few who also believes this, remove them en bloc. She insists on an ultrasound and lo and behold....I had a huge intracapsular rupture as well as silicone in my lymph nodes on both sides, breast bone, collar bone and axillary...10-12 on both sides. She told me that ultrasounds are much more sensitive to these findings. I was shocked since my understanding is the breast MRI is the "gold standard". Read my entire profile for all the details. Good luck to you.

I am 6 weeks post op and feel great and am so happy that I did the explant with lift. I had my implants for almost 30 years and was very saggy with them. You can view my pics on my post. Whatever you decide you will do great. The body heals amazingly well. I love how soft my breasts are now. I am so glad you found this forum. It was a godsend to me and so many women. Good luck to you.
