So I got onto my surgeon about the metal and showed him the Xray. He said that no metal should have been left in this form of surgery. So he said that he will remove it for free, but that I will have to go under a general anesthetic again and he will have to search the whole nose, since it is such a small piece of metal. Do you think it is getting it taken out? Or do you think I should just leave it at this stage? It doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort, but I just fear it will cause problems in the future...because it's so tiny!

The surgeon has told me that in the surgery he done, no metal should be there. He said he will remove it for me but he will have to put me under anesthetic and look all around the nose, considering it is such a small piece. He will do this free if charge. Do you think it is worth getting taken out? Can the metal cause any future damage? and if he does take it out will I be left with bruised eyes, swelling and have to wear cotton buds up my nose etc all over again?

Thanks Kenneth, I've got onto the clinic, so just waiting to hear back from them now. Thanks for the advice. Feel more at ease now.

Hi, here is a new post i put up with the X-ray included. I hope you can answer my questions and stop me from worrying. Thanks for that answer. I will get a copy of the Xray from my dentist during the week. If it is wrong to have it in my nose do you know what I can do about it?? I got my surgery done in Prague.
