Update my profile/review with 3.5 mo post op pics. Demonstrates drop and fluff. Notice how rounded the bottoms have become, the fullness that was created all on top, has settled down more to the bottom now. Everything seems to be healing great. I see my PS tomorrow for a follow-up, and will mention a couple imperfections, and see how he takes it and what to do from here. If he wants to do nothing, my husband and I are fine with these spots (right breast both sides have "dog ear type imperfections), because they are very minor...and I'm not too keen on more surgery;-).
I'm doing great, and very happy with the surgery.
Sorry this is happening. Have they looked into the possibility of infection?? Inflammation and spitting stiches doesn't sound like enough to cause the problem with the absence of smoking and addition of a healthy diet. I hope this turns around quickly abd starts healing up! ((hugs)))
I didn't start feeling much better until 7 weeks. Now, at 8 weeks...they are mostly soft--more "real." Finally, the bounce of the car doesn't make them swell up
I only papertaped from 3 weeks post-op to 6 weeks, and changed it weekly. I wasn't given and instuctions other than a demonstration where I was to cut about 2 inch lengths, and put them along the scars, overlapping the tape as I go. On week 6, I had my appointment and removed my tape the night before. My PS told me then that I was to either continue papertaping or use silicone gel. I chose the silicone, because the papertape was giving me a rash by that time, and PS and I agreed it had run it's course. I liked the papertape because I felt it gave me physical protection for my scars. I can't comment on the effect of my scars, because they look fine at 6 weeks, as most do...trouble comes later.
