Hi Bmesoon. I am almost one month and the appearance has gotten better since they came out but my breathing is still bad. I went to a pulmonologist and also had an echocardiogram and everything is fine with my heart and lungs. It seems to be the muscles that are causing my issues which I knew because I know my body a and knew I did not have problems with lungs or heart. No breathing problems ever in my life until after my surgery. I talked with another plastic surgeon that wasn't mine off the record who I met and he said it is prob my intercostal (rib/breathing muscles) that could be burned if I bleed a lot during surgery and my dr had to use a sadering iron to stop the bleeding. So basically my muscles could be burned along with the stretching and bruising from the two surgeries within 4 months. He also thought this bc I don't have trouble breathing when I lay down flat to sleep hardly at all and that is bc people use their diaphram and stomach mostly to breathe laying down and not intercostal muscles so I knew that is another reason my breathing difficulty had to do with my surgery. I started taking ibuprofen for imflamation to see if that would help and I could breathe so much easier the last couple of days so in my follow up appt today with my pulmonologist he believes it is my muscles that are the problem and I was prescribed prescription ibuprofen and a strong muscle relaxer if needed when I am active so I won't reirritate my muscles. I have to basically rest a lot and just wait and wait to see if my problem heals in a couple months. This has honestly one of the worst things I have ever experienced because it has stopped me from doing normal things and made me depressed at times thinking I have something wrong with me especially when I can't get a deep breathe when I want one. My boobs are smaller than before my implants but they are starting to come back it seems so I wouldn't worry about the appearance, they are just stretched for now.
I just had my implants explanted as well for breathing problems! I had 421 silicone under the muscle amd it was the worst decision ever. I had them 3 and 1/2 months only and after one month i noticed bad brearhing problems them after two and three it got worse. Now that i got them out i feel better but still have breathing issues like i cant breathe from my chest hardly and it still feels pressure on it at times. Im hoping all this goes away with time or else there is perm damage. Ive had heart and lung tests and ct scan and so lungs arent the issue it has to be my chest muscles or ribs bc they hurt and burned feeling a lot while i had implants im also. How long did it take gor your breathing to completely get better???
I am 1 day po from explant and my stitches are still really sore but i will tell you that it was the best decision i ever made i could immediately breath better and felt relief as soon as the implants came out! I was happy and sad at the same time that i had made the decision in the first place to get implants and spend all that money to feel miserable for almost 4 months. My breasts are stretched some from the implants which is to be expected but i dont even care about that right now.. It is just great to feel almost normal again. I wont let drs tell me that sonething is the problem when its my body and i just know it is something else causing a problem.
