That's terrible!I hope you've healed since that time. It's now been almost four months since I had two procedures there - botox (which resulted in a black eye for over 14 days and near-paralysis on the entire right side of my face) and swelling and bright spots which are still visible on my left cheek. I still have slight edema under my eyes, which I did not have before. They don't know what they're doing, though I read rave reviews of them on Yelp. I will be writing my own fair review (they referred me to another doctor, but the doctor said he didn't know anything about IPL - so well-intentioned, but useless).(O make matters worse, I now have MORE broken capillaries, which is why I went in the first place!

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond! I had acupuncture every week, alternating 30 minutes to an hour for each session. I wish I had a recommendation for where you live, but I live in the US.My acupuncturist used needles around my hairline, and not anywhere near my eyes or on my face. I did tell her specifically that I had botox, so she was really able to focus on increasing the circulation to that area. I was never so miserable and I'll never forget how this changed my entire face. It definitely works for some people, but I'll take big natural smiles from now on.mine was very severe, so try not to worry - it will definitely get better!!

It helps increase blood flow and circulation, all of which helped with the bags, frozen expression, etc. You'll be back to your old self soon!

I have great news. My face was the worst at week three and four. It seemed to "peak" at that time and I lost all hope of returning to normal. I got acupuncture and eating super healthy - I didn't know if anything would work, but was desperate. It slowly started to improve and it's only been nine weeks for me and I'm about 95% back to normal! I feel great and will NEVER do this again! And any guy who would leave you over something like this IS a cad and not worth it! Hang in there - I think it will beging to improve.

Iam sure I had a particularly bad experience, but I also feel some people will just look better than others with the procedure. I have a big smile and my eyes crinkle, which I thought was terrible, until I didn't have that any more. Things have been improving on my end and I've been so happy to look like my old self, in this regard!
