Hi Colleen I enjoyed reading all of your detailed posts prior to scheduling a mid face and neck lift with Dr GuerroSantos Jan 15, 2013. I had wonderful results that I posted here and it was your post and a few others that made me feel comfortable with choosing him. I plan to return to him maybe in Nov to remove excessive skin under my arms. I am so happy to hear now your satisfaction and yes of course it takes time especially in your case. With me very little swelling, bruising only the first 10 days then only numbness and stiffness. I am sure this will take like you said 7 month to resolve but it is something I can live with. The hospital he used was first class and everyone including Jose were wonderful. I rented a private apt. in Tlahqueparque for $275/2 weeks and Jose drove me most of the time but I also took the local buses to have fun and tour.
Today I went to see a doctor to remove a stitch that was left. I was afraid the knot was under the skin and they would have to cut to remove. I was lucky no knot just nylon under the skin that pulled out easily. Almost 4 weeks and I feel great but numb and stiff. At least I can smile and eat comfortably. I heard that the area will start to tingle or sting as the nerves that were cut begin to come back. Does anyone know of things that can help the numbness? I still use arnica cream on my face for swelling and drink arnica tea which I feel has helped. Can't wait for 1 month to start exercising again.
