I'm so sorry to hear about your recovery. Please don't let it get the best of you. You need your feel mind to get the body right. Sounds like you are on your way with eliminating the meds. Believe me, I no how Percocet and Benadryl alone can cause you to be in an absolute fog. I'm sending you good health and a great recovery ))))))

Not physically... I was ok in the shower. I just made sure I was not home alone when I did it.

I know the anxiety, but believe me you are gonna love your results. I feel like Dr Schulman really listens to what you want so you don't feel like you are getting a prototype. As for supplies, I felt the same way but I realized that everyone is different. Some people have a lot of drainage for their incision cites. I didn't have any. But just in case, you should get chucks (like wee wee pads) for your bed. I am breastfeeding, so I did not take the arnica pills and Dr Schulman agreed that there is no real proof that it works. Definitely try to have whatever you want to sleep in and your bed nice and comfy so that when you get home, you don't waste any time and you can get right to rest. If the nurses say its ok, take your pain meds as soon as you get home even without pain. I realized that its better to stay ahead of the pain. I took them every 6 hours around the clock for the first two days. I am now only taking Tylenol as needed. Hope all this help.

It's those spurts of energy and good feeling that gets you kinda comfortable. Stay with it and definitely do your pain meds around the clock, even with a low pain scale. You have to stay ahead of the pain. I have reduced mine also, but I'm still taking extra strength Tylenol every 6-8 hours with or without too much pain. This has definitely worked for me. Although I am not into much pain, I felt much more swollen today when I woke up.
