The vaselin/petroleum gauze should be near the non stick gauze and regular gauze at CVS. And u ou dont need to use a whole sheet, just cut a little piece for that open area. That way you wont have to buy so many because they can get pricey. It really helps! One vaseline gauze 2x2 size lasts me about a week because i am just cutting little pieces and then fold it back up and save the rest for the next dressing change.
Im actually still healing. My spot is almost closed though. Its one of thos things that it has to heal from the inside out and the neosporin and vaseline gauze helps to keep the outside open area from getting infected. Our boobs are going through so many changes and we just have to be patient.
Dont worry. I had those same issues. My t junction opened on my right side. I wash my bhai oobs twice a day with dial antibacterial soap and apply triple antibiotic ointment to any open areas then apply a vaseline gauze over those areas and the a gauze pad over that. You can buy the vaseline gauze pads at CVS pharmacy. I cut a small piece the size of the opening and stick it there with a lot of neosporin. It allows that area to heal and not stick to your bra.
Sorry to hear about that. Dont get yourself down because infections sometimes happens. I am praying for your recovery. Keep your head up! Get plenty of rest.
