How is your skin now? I have not had this happen... Was it the ablative or the one leaving little circles...? I really want to know this.. I'd be devastated for that to happen and trust me I used the ipl photo facial early on on a lady with spots but she had some melisma . Girl in 14 days she turned so dark. It took me a year of mod depth peels every 3-4 weeks to fix that mess.. Did the two day seminar class teach that hell no. I was so utterly mortified.. Thank god I just prayed I had no answers but to go back to what had worked to lighten it and I finally got her normal. I wouldn't touch anyone past a Fitzpatrick 3 with ipl. Fractional absolutely but only the 15mm hand piece it works to break it up. But it still taking peels to further it but so much better and even a year later my worst case made it through 110 degree summer here in arkamsas and hers had not come back but mildly on forehead . I appreciate the response back I want to know these things then I really think I can help some folks on here get better. It breaks my heart for the one that now is suffering from all kinds of problems with course skin melisma awe her list went on.. I wish I could help her myself
Sad to say many physicians and nurses get into skin care services operating laser down. You can actually do a lot by finding a skilled aesthetician and doing some progressive peels prob 2 and getting on products that prep the skin prior. What area are u in I know many throughout the states since I've helped set up doctors offices and train on peels and integrating laser. I chose the non ablative 1540 fractional I do one and have them come back a week later for a peel to help with positive results I have been very happy after a year of using it. I have had the system for over 5 years and just added the fractional. It will not do much for deeper wrinkles but if u r late thirties 40 to 50 if akin is already in relatively good condition if works but it isn't a cure all Ita a means to get results because it targets water and that's what I've loved I haven't had any indications. Now some have posted horrible results and I can understand if they use the 10mm hand piece on skin already prone to pigmentation issues. On the 15mm tip it has been fabulous for the melisma and firming... It does not work on redness. I start people off on a good progressive peel.. Get them on products if its red and brown spots then I do the ipl photo facial but never ever use it on anyone with melisma it will worsen it and if u didn't have it before ipl it will likely appear a year or two down the road especially if on any hormone replacement drugs or birth control. Home care is 60 % of real results long term... Changing products every couple months more in topical a correctives that exfoliate and the right hydration. And healing and repair support. I would interview esthetic isms find out there skill level and just keep asking questions I've been doing skin are for 23 years now I can say I've made my share of bloops but thank god nothing I couldn't correct and I believe in giving realistic expectations but my experience allows that not a two day laser seminar teaching laser down and I just think it has to be a beginning point of a good facial peel (not deep either that can b worked toward. Just someone understanding healing and repair post peel right product selection and that just takes truly knowing the acids out on the market that work ... Mandelic is great for roasacea.. Retinols too once skin gets stronger, then advancing to retinal peels layering acids. Pigmentation well it's tough but tca by far mixed in with other modality like micro then doing a good photo facial... I have clients that are now in late 80,a that look 55.. They trust me they have been consistent we make changes when necessary and we always mix it up. There is too many ways to get the red and brown off in 2-3 treatments versus 5-6 just ipl treatments. I have to work this way financially for my clients so my comments may not be welcome by some but I have the actual long term trials and I wasn't sure about the fractional till now.. Does it last yes for many at least a year later and they look great but I think it was mixing the peels and getting them on the right products that made it the most effective.. When people decide they want change they want it microwave and it just doesn't happen most of the time because they don't even use the products needed. As far as Obaji lovers read the ingredient deck... It's toxic unless they made changes in ingredients but u know I've seen it work great short term but a long term program no. Seen many problems with melisma worsening. Hydro quinine should not be used past 3 months and there are better lighters out there . And products that hydrate that actually inhibit melanin production... I'd trust a doctor that incorporates many levels of peeling treatments but not one just getting into aesthetics because let me tell u health care isn't paying and there are many getting into the practice with little foundations built on what I consider good aesthetics.. But that's my opinion based on what I've seen over the last 5 years with all the changes in healthcare... I'd just say be patient search ask a ton of questions . I'd want there protocols and research after they have done a consukt
I have read most of the replies on here and I would like a doctors opinion. Like I said I have had 0 problems it has been predictable with protocols I disagree with its a waste of money I agree it's a problem when not flowing protocol . One year 2 months of trials and no problems I truly don't know what happened to the others but want to because that is a night mare reaponse
There r two hand pieces to that system. If it were the smaller they used which I'd get my records I would go to dermatoglist. You can email me ****.com
