It was interesting watching your latest youtube. I think I'll see if I can remove my bottom trays from the inside as you did. I can't believe I'm finishing up my 10th week today. My orthodontist never told me about filing the rough edges. I'll have to check with her on that. She told me not to use any instruments to help remove them. She seems stricter then most doctors that I hear about on here, which doesn't make it any easier for me that's for sure.
I am on aligner #6 as of yesterday. I am supposed to do 47 aligners on the lowers, and only 8 on the uppers. I have 4 attachments on the lowers, and only one on the uppers, because I have a bridge on top so they can't correct everything. I hope I can hang in there that long with the lowers. I'm no spring chicken, I'm 69 years old, but didn't like how I looked when I saw pictures of myself. Taking them off the lowers has been my biggest challenge, and I take them off often to eat meals and snacks. Eating away from home is the worst part. Taking them off in a ladies room and going back after I eat to brush my teeth and the aligners is stressfull for me. It was good to hear from you and your experience.

Detente,
I started mine in January, and am on my 5th set as of today. I wish I had asked more questions before starting the Invisaligns, because they are more difficult than I thought they would be. Taking them off, especially the lowers is very very difficult for me which is something I didn't know would happen. I have a few buttons on the lowers, but only one on the uppers because I have a bridge on uppers so I only need 8 aligners on them, but about 47 on the lowers, which I can't imagine going through for such a long time. Eating outside of the home is so disruptive for me. I'm just trying to hang in there. I keep mine out longer than two hours a day, because I just have to have my snacks because I can't afford to loose weight.
Good luck to you.

Hi Fine Whine,
I started my third tray today and every time I start a new one it is still so difficult to remove the bottoms. I didn't get sore throats, but lots of sores in my mouth and redness around my mouth. At first I had to use examination gloves to remove them, and still do when I first start a new set, so I can remove them without breaking my nails and it's just easier to grip them. I also dislike going into the restrooms at restaurants and brushing my teeth, etc. in front of people. Today I was in a place that had only one restroom for everyone so I was so nervous that I was taking too much time and someone would be waiting and waiting to use the facility.
I'm thin and don't want to loose weight, but I would recommend these to anyone who would like to loose weight, because it's such a pain in the neck to take them out to eat that they may not want to bother to eat as often.
Anyway, thanks for your comments.
