I'm still swollen and numb in my lower abdomen 31/2 months out. I go in for my check-up soon. I'm sure they'll tell me to just be patient, but not fond of the pouch!
Stay strong and start looking for some cute swimsuits! Make sure you stay ahead of the pain. I would start to feel better and think I didn't need my pain medicine at the time required, but my husband was quick to remind me that the one thing the Dr. said was to stay ahead of the pain. Also, make sure you get your rest and drink your water. That's so important. Walking bent over and sitting in the recliner for so many days was harder on me than anything. I had such terrible back pain. I finally started applying ice packs to my lower back around week 2 and that brought such relief. Dealing with the drains aren't a lot of fun either, but the longer you can keep them in and get the fluids out the better. Keep drinking your water!
You'll be fine and happy you did it. Had mine done at the same office and everything went fine and I 'm 20 years older than you. It's been 3 1/2 months now for me and I couldn't be happier.
